Most of the close to 600 stories in this archive date from the years (1990-1998) in which I was employed at Amsterdam daily newspaper Het Parool, and subsequent years (1999-2007) when I worked as a U.S. and European correspondent for many more outlets including Nature Biotechnology, Nature Medicine, NRC Handelsblad, Staatscourant, Advocatenblad, Historisch Nieuwsblad, and Intermediair. Some clippings are from more recent dates.
Some of these stories were written in English, most of them were written and published in Dutch. You can use the Google tool at the top to translate anything on this site in almost any language, but I cannot vouche for the accuracy of these translations.
Not all my journalism is in this archive. Not included are, for example, various projects for Dutch public television, and many stories in Het Parool that were unsigned and/or missing from the Delpher website.
